Nothing has officially announced its Phone (2a) Plus. This is an improved variant of the regular Phone (2a) with a better SoC and front camera. The phone will have a suggested retail price of £399 in the United Kingdom where the phone will be available for a limited time on August 3.

Nothing equips the Phone (2a) Plus with a MediaTek Dimensity 7350 Pro 5G soc. This chip is made by TSMC using a 4nm process. It has two Cortex-A715 cores at 3GHz and six Cortex-A510 cores at 2GHz. According to the manufacturer this SoC is exclusively available for Nothings devices.

Nothing claims that the newer Dimensity 7350 Pro 5G is 'almost 10 percent faster' than the SoC in the current Phone (2a). That phone has a Dimensity 7200 Pro from MediaTek which has the same CPU cores and is made using the same TSMC process. The Cortex-A715 cores in the newer chip are clocked 200MHz or 7.14 percent higher. According to the manufacturer the GPU performance of the new SoC is also 30 percent higher 'while gaming'. Nothing does not share any benchmarks for this.

The smartphone also gets a better selfie camera. The resolution is increased from 32 to 50 megapixels. The front camera can now record 4k30 images Nothing writes in its press release. The Plus variant of the Phone (2a) also has a housing with a new metallic finish in black or gray. The maximum charging power will be increased from 45 to 50W.

The other specifications of the phone appear to be virtually unchanged. The phone again has a 6.7" OLED screen with a full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate 12GB memory 256GB storage a 5000mAh battery and the same Glyph Interface on the back.

The Nothing Phone (2a) Plus will be available in the Nothing store in London on August 3 for £399 which amounts to approximately €473. The device will also be available for a limited time in the US on August 9 part of Nothing's American beta program. The device costs $399 which amounts to 445 euros including VAT. Nothing says it will share details about wider availability in September.
