Blizzard has made the decision to discontinue the World of Warcraft Companion app without any explanation.

In a brief update, Blizzard announced that they will no longer be providing support for the app. This decision comes as The War Within expansion for World of Warcraft is set to be released later this year, although an exact date has not been revealed yet. Once the expansion is live, the Companion app will no longer receive updates, and it will no longer be available for download or use.

The WoW Companion app initially launched in 2018 and allowed World of Warcraft players to track in-game missions and view factions. Additionally, the app provided a platform for players to buy and sell items through trading houses run by other players.
