Next week, G.Skill is set to launch the Trident Z5 Royal memory modules, which were first showcased at Computex last year. These DDR5-8400 modules come with a stunning silver and gold coating and are available in kits of up to 96GB.

In a video and a press release, G.Skill has announced that the Trident Z5 Royal will be hitting store shelves 'at the end of May'. This lines up with the timing of the Computex fair, indicating that consumers will finally be able to get their hands on these memory modules after a year of anticipation. While many details are still under wraps, a standout feature of these modules is the mirror heat spread layer in gold and silver, accompanied by an RGB strip running along the length of each module, similar to previous Trident Z Royal models. G.Skill had previously released DDR4 models as well.

Set to be released at the end of October, the Trident Z5 Royal sticks boast 8400 mega transfers per second. It seems to be the same technical specifications as before, with the main difference being the updated coating. The modules have a timing of CL40 and are offered in kits ranging from two times 24GB to a maximum of two times 48GB. As of now, the pricing for these modules remains unknown.
