According to Bloomberg, there are ongoing discussions between Apple and Google regarding the integration of Gemini into iOS 18. This collaboration aims to incorporate AI functionalities that rely on internet connectivity, while Apple intends to develop all offline AI capabilities internally.

Although the deal has not been finalized, Apple is reportedly keen on leveraging Gemini for various tasks such as generating images and text based on prompts. While initial talks involved OpenAI, Apple is now actively engaged in negotiations with Google.

The inclusion of numerous AI features in iOS 18 represents a significant partnership between the two tech giants. Notably, Apple and Google have a longstanding agreement dating back to the inception of the iPhone, wherein Google's search engine serves as the default option. This arrangement entails substantial payments from Google to Apple and revenue generation through advertisements associated with the search engine.
