The safety of Meghan Markle in the United Kingdom is a growing concern for Prince Harry. The ongoing rift between the Duke of Sussex and the Royal Family has led him to speak out about why he believes his wife is not safe in his homeland. During a recent documentary on Britain's ITV titled "Tabloids on Trial," Harry opened up about his ongoing battle with British tabloids and expressed his fear of potential attacks on Meghan.

He mentioned that he is hesitant to bring her back to the UK due to the risk of a violent incident involving acid or knives. Harry explained, "It's still dangerous, and all it takes is one lone actor, one person who reads this stuff to act on what they have read." He emphasized his genuine concern for his wife's safety and stated that it is one of the reasons why he is hesitant to bring her back to the country.

Since Harry and Meghan stepped down from their royal duties, they no longer receive police protection. As a result, Meghan has only visited the UK a few times, with her last visit being to attend the Queen's funeral in September 2022. After Prince Harry decided to leave his royal role in 2020 and start a new life in the US with Meghan and their children, the couple welcomed their daughter, Lilibet, in Montecito, California.

The Duke of Sussex also mentioned in the interview that his legal battles with the media have contributed to the rift between him and his family, particularly with his father, King Charles, and his brother, Prince William. Despite facing backlash from the press, Harry remains steadfast in his mission to hold British tabloids accountable. He stressed the importance of doing so for the greater good and expressed his desire for his family to address these issues together.
