In response to inflation, Telenet, the Belgian provider, has announced a 3.5 percent price increase set to take effect in June. This adjustment will impact many subscriptions, although there are exceptions. Telenet has stated that they will be notifying individual customers over the next few weeks regarding this change.
Specifically, the price increase will not affect Play Sports subscriptions from BASE, Tadaam, Telenet Essential Internet, FIVE and TEN fixed telephony rates, installation and activation costs, as well as Social Internet. However, all-in-one subscriptions like ONE and ONEup, two-in-one subscriptions, and various standalone services will see the price hike.
Telenet explains that the price adjustment is necessary due to inflation. "We are taking into consideration the current economic climate and making necessary adjustments to our prices based on the impact of inflation on wage costs and technology prices," says Telenet. This annual price increase due to inflation aims to reflect the changing economic landscape.
