Western Digital is now offering a new 24TB version of their WD Red Pro HDD, a slight upgrade from last year's 22TB model. This new variant is currently only being supplied to manufacturers, with no consumer version available yet. The WD Red Pro with 24TB storage capacity can be found on their Dutch website, where it is priced at 570 dollars, or 528 euros, before VAT.

This 24TB version is currently the largest capacity drive that Western Digital offers. Previous models included a 22TB version released last year and a 20TB version the year before. Despite the increase in storage capacity, the new model still utilizes conventional magnetic recording technology and operates at 7200rpm, with a cache of up to 512MB. It also boasts an increased data writing capacity of 550TB per year, compared to the previous model's 300TB.

With a five-year warranty, it remains to be seen when this HDD will be made available for purchase by consumers.
